Bot policy

PagePulse fetches public pages to tell a signed-in user when the visible text changes. It identifies itself as:

PagePulseBot/1.0 (public page monitor; respects robots.txt)

It requests robots.txt first and will not fetch a path that file disallows.

It does not send cookies, does not log in, does not solve CAPTCHAs, and does not follow redirects onto private networks.

Checks are spaced by the user’s plan, and a manual check is limited to one a minute per page.

To opt a path out, disallow this user agent — or all agents — in robots.txt.
