01 — Public page monitoring
Know when a page actually changes.
PagePulse checks public websites on a schedule, ignores rotating noise, and keeps a plain before-and-after when the price, headline, or offer moves.

02 — The same comparison the product runs
A sample page, not a screenshot of a feature.
These two fixture pages are compared by the engine that monitors real sites. The timestamp and the rotating token are dropped. The price and the sale line are not.
Price changed from $28.00 to $24.00. Promotional text changed.

03 — How a check works
- 01
Add a public address
http or https, port 80 or 443. Private networks, logins, and odd ports are refused.
- 02
PagePulse reads the HTML
It obeys robots.txt, follows redirects only to other public addresses, and stores the visible text — never the raw page as HTML.
- 03
Noise stays quiet
Timestamps, view counters, and long random tokens are removed before anything is compared.
- 04
You get one alert per change
In the app immediately. Email when a delivery provider is configured for the deployment. The same change is not sent twice.
04 — Pricing
Limits are enforced, not decorative.
Every new account starts on Free. Paid plans use Stripe when the deployment has test or live keys. If checkout isn’t connected, you stay on Free — the app will not pretend a payment went through.
| Plan | Price | Websites | Fastest check |
|---|---|---|---|
Free Two public pages, checked once a day. | $0 | 2 | Daily |
Starter Ten pages, as often as every six hours. | $9/mo | 10 | Every 6 hours |
Pro Thirty pages, as often as every hour. | $19/mo | 30 | Hourly |
Business One hundred pages, as often as every 15 minutes. | $39/mo | 100 | 15 minutes |
05 — FAQ
Will it log into a competitor’s site?
No. Checks are anonymous GETs of public URLs. Cookies, passwords, and CAPTCHA bypasses are not sent or attempted.
What if the price is drawn by JavaScript?
PagePulse reads the HTML response, not a rendered browser. If the number only exists after client-side code runs, it won’t be in the comparison.
How often do checks run?
On the schedule you pick, within your plan. They run when you have PagePulse open, and when a scheduler calls the sweep endpoint. A check you start yourself is limited to once a minute per site.
Does it respect robots.txt?
Yes. If the file disallows the path for PagePulseBot or for all agents, the check is blocked and no alert is sent.
Are email alerts real?
In-app alerts are stored for every qualifying change. Email is sent only when the operator has configured a delivery provider. Until then the log says the message is waiting on a provider — it is not marked sent.
How do I cancel?
When Stripe is connected, use Settings and the customer portal. Paid limits stay until Stripe reports the subscription ended, then the account returns to Free and extra sites pause. The app does not refund charges by itself. The refund page says what is and isn’t promised.
What does the AI explanation do?
Nothing, unless you ask. It is optional, stored separately, and labeled as an interpretation. The summary above it is produced by the comparison itself.
